WHO I AM

From 'I can't do that' to 'I am so glad that I started'

Hey there, thank you for visiting this page and having a look around.

My name is Sneh, and I've always been interested in how amazing the human body is, and the extent to which we can push it, but equally, how delicate, not only the physical aspect is, but also how the mind and emotions play a big part of who we are.

I remember thinking, a few months after I had given birth to my fourth daughter, that the best days of my body's peak performance, energy levels and abilities were a distant memory. With the internet readily available, and a lot of time spent at home, I came across snippets of information, initially nutritional facts which made me sit back and ponder ... I slowly started to test these hypothesis, but also, because Diabetes, Heart disease and Hypertension ran in my family, I also wanted to delay any early onset of these life robbing diseases. Having gradually reduced my processed and refined foods, sugars, and unnecessary 'empty' snacks, I noticed how my body's shape started to change. My clothes felt looser, and this was my little springboard into wondering what else I could do to help myself. I started to road bike, and run a little, and then, one day, I went for a consultation at my local gym. I soon fell in love with the empowering sensation weight training gave to me, the toned muscles, the renewed energy levels, clearer skin, the drop in my body fat percentage ... it was not an overnight magic happening, yet a gradual and steady journey. I wanted other parents of young kids, whom I could see had given up on ever getting back to their youthful bodies and minds ... I wanted to share and encourage this self belief. It doesn't matter who you are, if you have lost your way a little, caught up in so much hype about what to do and not to do, I can simplify it, and as long as there is consistency in one's approach to getting fitter and maintaining that level of amazingness, there is no stopping you. For me, weights are my go to fitness catalyst, but everyone is different. I can assure you, to those of you ladies who think that weight will make you bulky and unfeminine, it won't happen. women do not have the same testosterone levels of men; women will gain muscle tone, strength, and added energy levels .. and looking good has the most amazing positive rewards on one's mind and soul. If I can do it, anyone can
